Fruit from my zucchini plants are wilting away before they even bloom.?
The plants look healthy, but the little fruits wilt away and deteriorate before they even can bloom for pollination. Whats going on?
The fruits are failing in development before they even blossom.

You've got it backwards somehow. Flowers and blooming come FIRST. Then *if* they're fertilized, they start growing into little fruits (which of course keep getting bigger).
Not all flowers produce fruit. (there are both male and female flowers on the same plant - only the females are capable of growing a fruit) Not sure if what you're describing is fruit that is failing in mid-development, or flowers that are dropping without producing fruit. If it's the latter, have patience, and you should get fruits eventually.

The couple, within whose house the plant resides, knew three weeks before that the plant would bloom that night.
