Is there an easy way to remove blossoms from a swimming pool surface?

Our almond tree is blossoming....right over the swimming pool. The blossoms drop/blow into the pool and float on the surface. They are so light they are near impossible to skim and if I run the filter, they just clog up the cartridges! Does anyone have any tips on an easier way to remove them?

Maybe you can blow them all to one side with a leaf blower, then scoop them out with the net.

Recently I have uploaded a few "flower" photos only because it's almost spring here and in late August the blooming flowers around us have been absolutely spectacular. I have deliberately back lit this blossom to show off the petal's fine structures and beautiful detail. I've done a bit of cross-processing in PS CS5 to bring out the dramatic blue colour of the sky. This was captured with my trusty 50mm f/1.8 prime lens with a close-up kit attached. Hope you enjoy it! Keep the peace  Ray 
