How can I get my various hydrangeas to bloom?

My hydrangeas are all healthy but only one is putting out any blooms. What can I do?

Well, Hydrangeas like to be in partial shade. They are not too paticular about their soil, but heavy on the organics will give you healthy blue blooms with good healthy plants. Moderatly moist. Not wet, not dry. As for pruneing, be carefull not to prue too deeply, or you will not get many blooms, It is a good idea only to prune to shape. In the spring, prune off the old flower heads, normaly the flower heads are left on till spring for winter interest. So allow your hydrangeas to grow to the height you want, then prune them only enough to keep them at that height, nothing more. Prune to shape during the summer months. Keep them in check, but allow the middle growth to grow.

Good luck, Hydrangeas are wonderfull plants, well worth the effort of careing for properly.

My Christmas cactus just bloomed for the first time? and blooming

My Christmas cactus just bloomed for the first time?

So what do I do now? Once the blooms fade do I cut them off? It also is to big for its pot, can I repot it or just leave it alone?

bloom best answer:

Answer by Cowboy's Sweetheart
Don't disturb it when it's blooming. Christmas cactus thrives when it's potbound. Repot only if it appears to be dying. When the blooms turn brown and shrivel up they usually fall off by themselves but you can remove them yourself.

Neither. Bees are drinking nectar from the flowers. In the process, they bring pollen from one flower to another.
Wow, how old are you, anyway?
