When do cherry blossoms / flowering plums bloom?
This is strange... I have a "flowering plum" and a "flowering cherry" tree that I planted outside during spring this year.. but now I just looked at them and they're actually blooming right now!!!
I thought they both bloom during early Spring/late Winter..
Does anyone know anything about late summer blooming?

Some of them will give the odd bloom in late summer/early fall. The "Autumn Flowering Cherry" is one. It still has its big show in the srping, though.

Golden-bloomed Grey Longhorn Beetle - Agapanthia villosoviridescens. I was delighted to find this beetle again this year. It was one of my most spectacular sightings last year and, as I only saw it once, I didn't really expect to see it again. This was the first of three.
