Do some sunflowers bloom multiple times with just one stalk? and Blooming Agave in Landscape

Do some sunflowers bloom multiple times with just one stalk?

I bought sunflowers that are supposed to grow to 5-6 feet tall. However, they are about 2.5 - 3 feet tall now and have blooms that are opening. If they will bloom multiple times, what do I do once these blooms have wilted?

Fyi, they are in my backyard garden now and they were kept in starter pots longer than is reccomended.

There are many sunflowers that bloom multiple blooms. When the petals fall off the old blooms, the cardinals and goldfinches show up to eat the seeds, so... don't worry about the flowers wilting... After the birds are done, you can pull the plants out and toss them on the compost pile, and plant something else there...

Next year, just plant the seeds in the ground, and skip the starter pots...
Matter of fact, you can sow next years plants as soon as the seeds are ripe....
I've planted lots of seeds as soon as they are ripe, and beans and corn and watermelons come right up, but sunflowers don't come up till next year...
