Jewelweed (genus Impatiens) is a plant that grows wild, usually near water. I have encountered it in the Southeast U. S., and it was also common where I grew up, in Wisconsin.

The flowers are small, about 1/2 in or 2 cm in the largest dimension.

This one appears to have a mass of pollen in its throat. I'm not sure why it's there. There's a flower bud in the upper left.
