How to tell if a flower/plant is simple/composite, perfect/imperfect? and flower show10

How to tell if a flower/plant is simple/composite, perfect/imperfect?

I'm really confused about simple and composite flowers, from what I understand a flower is simple if it is a single flower and if there are many flowers it is composite? But I'm confused with recognizing them. Would a bouquet of mixed flowers be simple since they are all individual? What about a cactus, a daisy, grass and impatiens? Because there are many impatiens together does that make them composite? And also how can I tell if a flower is perfect/imperfect, I know what it means but I don't know how to recognize if the flower has male and female parts.
Someone please explain this to meeeee :( thank you!

You are correct in defining a composite/simple flowers. A simple flower would be something like cactus flowers, tulips, roses, daffodils, and impatiens because they have single flowers. Composite flowers are those such as dandelions, sunflowers, daisies etc. Composite flowers look like a single flower but in reality the "flower" you think of as the flower is actually comprised of hundreds or possibly thousands of tiny individual flowers. If you look at a dandelion or sunflower really close you can see that the yellow parts are really individual tiny flowers. Sunflowers and daisies are really comprised of ray flowers (the part of the daisy or sunflower that look like petals) and disc flowers (the flowers that make up the center part of the flower).
Perfect flowers have both STAMENS made up of a filament and anther (male) and PISTOLS made up of stigma, style and ovary (female) whereas Imperfect flowers have only one or the other. Stamens are the part that produce pollen and the pistol is the part that receives the pollen. I posted some helpful diagrams that better illustrate the different types. And just to clarify, a bouquet would not make flowers composite (you would just have a collection of different types of flowers). I hope this helps.
