Are there any biologists/botanists that can help me out?

What are the differences between strobuli (strobilus) and sori (sorus) structures? I know both "house" sporangium, but so far the only difference I can find is that one appears cone-like and the other is located on the underside of leaves.

I was wondering if an existing difference is that one of these structures actually contains developing and or multiplying spores while the other simply houses them. I'm not quite sure of this though...essentially I'm looking for their functional differences.

A sorus is a cluster of sporangia f.e. in ferns. In a sorus spores are produces, ripen and are stored till they are released

A strobulus is a cone like part of the female hops-plant, a special type of inflorescence with one or two female flowers in the axils of each bracteole. After fertilization these flowers grow small fruits, little nuts (achenes) at the base.

The main difference is that sori are parts of lower plants and develop spores, strobuli are a cluster of flowers with bracts, grow on seed plants and contain seeds.
