Can forced tulip bulbs, this year, be planted outside in container for next blooming year?

Inside forced tulip bulbs are just getting stems. When they bloom this year, indoors- can they remain in pots to bloom outside next year? Help!

Forced tulips often don't re-bloom properly the next year. But it doesn't hurt to try.

If you live where there is winter, pull them out of the pot after all the leaves die back, and plant them in the ground. If you live in a mild climate, you would need to chill them in order for them to bloomin the future, meaning after the leaves die back, put the pot into the fridge for 2-3 months.

Sometimes you'll see blooms two springs after the forced-bloom period, if you feed and care for them properly. Many people find it too much bother, and treat them as a seasonal plant, tossing them when they're done.
