why do the blooms die on home-grown jalepeno plants?

I am growing jalepeno plants from peppers I picked in a garden. The buds bloom, but then die quickly. I have about 6 plants in a pot. I do need to re-pot them. Just wondering if the pot is too small for them.

When flowers are pollinated, they die and the ovule will prooduce a chili. Unless they are inside and have not been pollinated - no chilies.

This bloom is just about emerged from the leaves and budding process of the Joshua Tree. I could only get close enough for a zoom shot, not a macro. This is a giant bloom and tree.

Something I've never seen before, the whole Joshua Forest Parkway was abloom with giant flowers and buds on the gnarled branches. This amazing tree was named by Mormon pioneers for a passage in the Bible. The famous trees are a variety of yucca and live only in very particular places. The most famous is in California, but the Joshua Forest Parkway in Arizona along Highway 93 in the western part of Arizona surely has the densest population along the scenic drive. Other photos on my stream catch these details. The Joshua Tree can go several years between blooms for the conditions must be just right.
