would it make sense to get a cherry blossom tattoo and a dragon tattoo?
I love the chinese symbols and what they stand for I want to get my first tattoo and I am thinking a cherry blossom tree branch with a dragon sitting on top holding a heart. This to me symbolizes the protection of my love and heart. does this make sense?

Judging from what people get tattooed on themselves I don't think it has to make sense, at least not to anyone other then the person with the tattoo.
