Can any type of cherry blossom tree grow in Louisiana?
Where I live, the soil is if fine on the very top, but as you go down more and more feet, it gets more like clay. Can I grow a cherry blossom tree here?

Generally yeah, you are ok as far as climate, unless you live on the Gulf. The problem is the drainage. They need well drained soil. You can modify your landscape level providing an elevated area for the tree. Since the majority of the tree's roots are in the upper 18 inches of the soil, if you are above saturation for 18 inches you might be fine. Of course "plant high" that is leave an inch or so of the root ball above ground level and mulch well.
