Do Rhododendrons bloom twice a year in the Pacific Northwest?

My Rhododendrons look like they are getting new buds for a second bloom

Sometimes, but it's not normal.

They may indeed bloom since this has been a crazy year for weather. The Rhodie's might be more confused then we are.

Secondly, they do set buds for the next year very early, right after they're finished blooming from last year. You might just be seeing the buds that will bloom in the spring.

Spring display in the library – super fast, super easy!

Books are random selections from the shelves and kids are signing them out faster than I can pull books to take their place. This is a great way to pull out those "gems" that get hidden in the stacks and not signed out.
