Answer by Scottish Dachsy
Well, if you are doing the cherry tree in bloom, use a base of a very pale pink and block in the overall shape of the tree (not the trunk). Then, go back and add some dark areas. Paint details of some of the flowers in the foreground but leave the flowers in the background loose and undefined. The trunk should be brown, maybe burnt umber. Then add a few intermittent limbs coming up from the trunk. You can add a little green here and there to look like new leaves coming in.

Camp Zama Japan Cherry Blossom Festival 2013

Camp Zama's annual cherry blossom festival was held recently on the installation, and more than 7,000 people from the U.S. military, the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and the Japanese community had the chance to experience each others' culture during the annual spring event. The event featured a variety of activities, such as youth and adult run/walk events, a flea market, live music and street performance. The culmination of the festival was the second annual Pacific Boxing Showdown. The event featured six fights, including an Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation super welterweight title match.
