What is the probability that an employee will get 2 to 3 people to buy flowers during any given shift?



A flower shop encourages its employees to get customers to buy flowers during an 8 hour shift. The distribution for the number of flowers accepted per employee is: X (0,1,2,3,4,5) and P(X) (0.27, 0.28, 0.20 0.15, 0.08 and 0.02).

ANSWER: Probability of 2 to 3 people buying flowers = 0.35

Why??
Probability: P(X = 2) + P(X = 3) = 0.20 + 0.15 = 0.35 which is 2 to 3 people buying flowers.
