Whats the best way to keep critters out of my new garden?

I just tilled and planted a vegetable garden and first thing this morning there was a big rabbit in it. Whats the best way to stop them?
The Coyote urine sounds good, I'll check for that. I wonder if human would work. One way or the other I'll get that waskly wabbit.
