Lilac blooms only at very top of tree? and dogwood blooms

Lilac blooms only at very top of tree?

I have an older lilac bush that used to bloom prolifically...from top to bottom. Now the past few yrs., it will only bloom at the very top of the tree. What could cause this? If I prune it back, when do I do this?? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Try feeding it, if you want to prune it your better off doing this when there are NO buds/ blooms.

Paducah dogwoods are bursting with blooms just in time for the 46th Annual Dogwood Trail Celebration that begins Tuesday, April 13.
