Names for these flowering characteristics? and Sansevieria hyacinthoides inflorescence

Names for these flowering characteristics?



When the one stem, with one flowers grow directly from the ground.
When one stem grows from the ground then branches, then flowers.
Had this written down, so I DID do my own research, I've only lost my hardcopy.

Sound like a flower spike, Kangaroo paws and day lilies do this. So do many succulants.

How about spadix.
