Why did my apple trees not blossom?

It is June and they never blossomed! We are new to the house (and apple trees) and really cut it back last fall. It produced last year, but teeny tiny apples.

It all depends on where you live. If it is too much rain (my area) or too much sun the ground is still recovering from last season.

Cherry Blossoms, Prunus Subhirtella Pendula (Weeping Higan) , that is blooming now in Italy... I went to a local park for seeing them and figure out how the practice of Hanami could be...

An alternate version of the previous picture, cropped in the lower part, the one I like most... Orton effect here seems a lot nicer too, since flowers are bigger...
